How to order
Voiceovers tell us that Adam and Steve, a pair of cute but generic Eastern European models, are "sea villagers who live on the Croatian seashore... a paradise for young boys wanting to
have fun." They invite eight of their friends to join them for a weekend of boat trips, cookouts, dips in the slate-blue Adriatic, hikes across rubble, and sex. The collegiate-looking guests are
as generically pleasant as their hosts. The director, Oliver Magyar, makes no attempt to individuate these models, but the loud, uncredited musical score, which seems to have escaped
from the bottom drawer of '60s television, strives to convince us that each and every one of them is frolicsome and perky.
Magyar seems to have studied gay videos made by a fellow Hungarian, the late Steve Cadro-- but not the good parts. He knows how to set up a shot, but not how to tell models to
get from point A to point B while the cameras are rolling. In the first sex scene, a threesome that starts on a rocky ledge by the sea, the stasis is reassuring; you sense that if the models
got carried away and moved, they might fall off the ledge and break their necks. The best of the five sex scenes is the concluding segment, an outdoor six-man orgy with fitful
continuity, sputtering heat, and a sexual performance by an intriguing model identified as Andy in the opening credits. A slight, pixie-ish, dark-haired oral bottom, Andy sucks cock with finesse and
has more personality than just about anyone else in the cast. He never gets erect, however, and when everybody else comes, Andy doesn't.
Fans of the Croatian coast, whose pebbly beaches have lured naturists for generations, will be pleased to see Croatia depicted once again as a tourist playground, not a war zone.
But the sometimes washed-out videography doesn't do the backdrop justice. The most interesting setting is a cave festooned with stalagmites and stalactites, possibly Biserujka Cave on
the island of Krk, where a stud called Bob cavorts with a blond called Tom-- a model who appeared to greater advantage under the name Adam Gossett in Falcon International's Red Hot.
