How to order
Viewers who rent or buy Spanish Fever for the "rough action" advertised on the box may feel cheated, but most will accept this video's not-so-rough but effective sensuality on its
own terms. The sex hits peak intensity in scenes like the one where Victor Campos plants kiss after kiss on Simone de Jesus's mouth while impaled on de Jesus's cock, or another where
Campos and Lee Jaguar lock eyes across a pile of naked men, step slowly toward one another, and embrace.
This is the work of British-based artist Jean-Marc Prouveur, an accomplished still photographer whose gay adult video output to date has been touch-and-go. Made in chic,
sleek Barcelona, Spain's gayest city, Spanish
Fever is a huge improvement over Prouveur's previous effort,
Confessions. It's built around Jaguar, a bald, bearded, quietly commanding
German bottom, and a supporting cast of eight young, luscious, mostly Spanish models.
The five sometimes intercut sex episodes appear to represent Jaguar's dreams and jerkoff reveries. Some segments are disrupted by repetitive images of Jaguar lying in bed
stroking, stroking, stroking, and there's an oddly truncated scene in which Jaguar encounters Alberto de la Havana, who later steals his wallet, in a wooded cruising area. But the eroticism on
display here really does seem fevered. In the final five-man orgy, thanks in part to the presence of gorgeous, chocolate-complected Patrick Rodriguez, it becomes incendiary.
