How to order

Driving through Mediterranean countryside where fauns could plausibly lurk, Jean Franko and Rocko Magnus run out of gas. The couple has a short, sharp spat over whose responsibility it was to fill up the tank. Then, while Magnus stays with the car, Franko walks off in search of petrol, and enters the Kristen Bjorn dimension. His odyssey spans two discs, lasts nearly five hours, involves an international cast of 30, and features an expenditure of semen that could irrigate Spain.

Franko hasn't gone far before he hitches a ride with motorcyclist Victor Souza, who brings him to a secluded spot near an old stone villa. They're joined by cute, preppy Viktor Vesely and tall, exquisite Gregoire Chevalier. The action is uninhibited and fiercely focused; this opening sex scene alone includes 14 cumshots. All eight sex scenes, four to a disc, involve multiple partners. (What begins as two successive duos in the second half soon fuses into a foursome.) Each disc concludes with an explosive orgy. At the end of Part One, five men close in on dark-haired beauty Rocky Oliveira in a bar; in the final sex scene, Magnus's patience in waiting for Franko earns him a session with dark, assertive muscle hunk David Salazar and three additional passers-by.

risten Bjorn's perfectionism yields impressive results, even when it threatens to place constraints on the action. His direction serves up stilted moments when you're conscious of models moving into position a little two formally, holding poses a little too tightly, or obeying instructions on how to stand and what to do with their arms. That said, the level of intensity Bjorn is able to elicit, sometimes from models who have been leaden in the hands of other directors, is astonishing. Rocks and Hard Places doesn't hit as many peaks as last year's Fire Dance, but it's clearly the work of one of gay porn's reigning talents.
