Voted Folio Weekly's favorite gay bar, this is the largest gay entertainment complex between Atlanta and Orlando. Jerry and Mike, proprietors of this mega complex, have taken this local favorite of 14 years to new heights. This exuberantly popular nightspot is busiest late-night, and the club's happy-hour crowd is building, too, thanks to their personable staff. Metro boasts six areas, each with its own atmosphere. The Boom Boom Room is a state-of-the-art disco dance club, while the Rainbow Room piano bar features live vocalists. Their game room shows all the Jaguars' and college football games, and they have pool tables, video games, and pinball. Down in the Boiler Room men's bar there are male dancers, and a bit more testosterone. A renowned house cast and visiting celebrities perform at Metro, with drag shows, amateurs' nights, and more. The crowd is mostly young and gay, but all are welcome. Sappho's -- a women's bar with female dancers and a full-service patio -- completes the roster. The club also offers an on-site package store where you can purchase snacks, cigarettes, and bottled liquor to go....
