For 23 years Chicago's original gay sports bar, this is a neighborhood tavern with video, four pool tables, three dart boards, and a sporting attitude. They have an athletic crowd and sponsor leagues in touch-football, water polo, darts, bowling, softball, and volleyball. On most any visit, you are sure to run into some of the hot team players. Catch the games on their numerous monitors, or play "Golden Tee." Drinks specials are on Mondays through Thursdays, and frequent special events (especially on Saturdays) fill the calendar. Weekly draws include Wednesday karaoke with free pool and a taco bar. There's a Sunday buffet, and on Thursdays enjoy a big helping of George's chili to go with the $8.50 beer pitchers. The North End will celebrate the big summer events, plus they'll sponsor the Senior Cup (over-40 softball league) over the Labor Day weekend. Visiting porn stars appear here for video-release parties and for the annual Sunday brunch after the Grabbies on Memorial Day weekend. Need cash? There's an onsite ATM, and credit cards are accepted....
