This was the year I did it. In fact this is the year we did it, did it in Oklahoma City.
I am a 62-year-old bear well past the age of perfect physique. I put my 23-year-old lover who is well within the age of perfect physique on the back of my motorcycle and we became “The End” of the Pride Parade in Oklahoma City. I wanted the whole community to see that older and younger need each other and can have each other.
I met one of the organizers of the parade whom I work with on many other community projects. I showed him my motorcycle and asked if I could be in. He said, “You need a flag.” My response was, “No I don’t I have a boy to go on the back.” His immediate response was to give me the description of the Ancient Army Of Greece where younger and older helped each other “That is just what we need” he said and then he gave us our place in the parade smiling as he went on to other duties.
Next year you old bears get your “Baby Boy” put him on the back of your cycle and parade or walk together or ride in a car together and that goes for you “Baby Boys” out there too. Get your bear to put you on the back of his cycle or set beside you in your car or walk with you in your “Pride Parade”. There is a place for all of us in our parades.
