Dawn Ivory
Dawn, like a moth, is drawn to those televised Sunday morning jabber fests wherein five or six rich, white, fat men (with, occasionally, a distaff, slimmer, or swarthier token presence)
discuss the pressing issues of the day from totally
different viewpoints (not). Of course, lately the celebrities/journalists/politicians (one category often indistinguishable from the others...)
have been blathering on about Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dawn is amused that part of the catechism required of the C/J/Ps is that they profess knowledge that the war on Iraq is, most
assuredly, not about access to oil. One may debate timing or strategy, but one must never,
ever, suggest that having oil tycoons as president and vice-president, with their campaigns bankrolled
by other oil tycoons, has in any way influenced American policy. That would be
wrong.
