"There's something going on in the heads" of homophobes "that must mean that they are having a major problem with their own sexuality," says UNAIDS Executive Director Peter Piot.
During a rousing summit at the recently held International Conference on AIDS, Piot stressed the imperative of fighting gay stigma throughout the world: "We will be nowhere with our AIDS activities if the gay rights agenda is not progressing," he declared.
