New York-- The gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender music community must be a cacophonous place. But everyone who's anyone in that particular 'hood will turn up in time and tune for the second annual GLAMA
awards March 9. They will come to see, be seen, bask in glory, and wallow in spite. This is year two for the Gay and Lesbian American Music Awards, and the list of nominees spans the alphabetical range from Amasong to
Zrazy. "There's a popular misconception that only a few, well-known acts are 'out,' when in reality, there are hundreds of lesbian and gay acts releasing great music," claims Michael Mitchell, a GLAMA co-creator. Glamaphiles
will gather Monday, March 9 at 6 pm at the Manhattan Center (311 West 34th Street), and be officiated over by the likes of Ru Paul and Kate Clinton. Tickets range from $25 to $100, and can be had by calling 800-494-TIXS.
