While Washington reels with the news that even right-wing, sexually Puritanical congressmen masturbate, voters in West Virginia dealt with their own sexual scandalette after a Charleston television station, WCHS-TV, aired photos depicting a state senator and at least two other men wearing only body paint.

Senator Randy White claims the photos were stolen from his personal computer and says he is "shocked" and "horribly embarrassed" by the nude shots; his statement did not make clear whether his embarrassment stems from having his presumptively wee willie revealed or from the slovenly appearance so many West Virginia lawmakers exhibit, a slovenliness only exacerbated when naked.

There was nothing sexual about these pictures, and nothing sexual before, during, or after they were taken," White said. "But it does look bad, and it is not easy to explain." Dawn concedes it may indeed look bad (see above), but suspects Senator White's nude, tarted-up appearance with other naked men is rather easy to explain....

The Associated Press reports that in a letter to newspapers in his district, White apologized for the photos and cited a recent bout with depression and a "personal identification situation." Hmmmm.

Dawn, salutes, though, the voters of West Virginia's 11th Senate District who reelected their kinky state senator by a 53 to 47 percent margin.
