How to order
Robert Prion, porn laureate of New Jersey, seems to crank out sex scenes like sausages-- five links makes a marketable product. Sometimes, as in the recent
Nothing Else Matters, Prion's undeniable skill
at directing sex connects with the vitality of his performers to produce a good erotic video. More often, Prion's work seems rushed and feels disposable. If you've seen three Prion videos, it's hard to remember which was which.
Pushover is generic Prion-- five sequences, shot in Prion's home or those of his friends, strung along a nearly nonexistent theme, and cursed with amateurish recitations of lousy dialogue. Members of the
Prion repertory company go through the usual calisthenics in rooms full of weird little
tchotchkes. The high point is probably a three-way inspired by Aaron Lawrence's dweeby but phallic collection of model lighthouses.
The usually impressive Karl Thomas is thrown away in a forgettable outdoor encounter, unconvincingly set in Key West, with the improbably named Titan. Storm, given top billing, is wasted here. Vincent DiMarco, the
salvation of many Prion videos, is nowhere to be found.
