According to a press release that reached Dawn's desk, "in the immediate wake of the first human embryo cloning by Advanced Cell Technology, Inc., a gay man has announced his bid
to be among the first humans to be cloned. 'I have the right to reproduce. I have the right to choose the method of my reproduction,' says Corey Chambers, Executive Producer
of VillageTV.com, the gay TV channel on the Internet. Chambers has volunteered to be among the first humans to be cloned, and has offered $25,000 to any doctor who is qualified to
carry out the procedure."
While Dawn finds it somehow appropriate that a gay Los Angeles TV producer should try to slot himself into this soon-to-be celebrity niche, one has to wonder if cloning technology
might not find better uses in the gay community. Should not we clone Lukas Ridgeston or Michael Vincenzo first? Or how about finding some left over fingernail or jizz stain and have Joey
Stefano walk the earth again?
