Steven Scarborough's Skuff series offers up five new leather-and-fetish segments and-- in the "hardcore director's cut"-- a sixth, more elaborate episode relegated to a bonus disc. The dark, intense action, skillfully deployed and shot at San Francisco's Power Exchange, is sometimes marred by jump cuts and confusing continuity. Still, despite these and other missteps, portions of Skuff 3 will take most viewers' breath away.

The sex often skates on the edge of transgression. In the opening moments, Christoph Scharff and Collin O'Neal, wearing gas masks, force Jason Ridge drink from a boot. In the second episode, Marcos David prods, tickles, and whips Alex Fuerte with a leather switch. Then Scharff returns to tussle with Aryan god Thom Barron and hairy, handsome Jason Kingsley. Enzo Grimaldi licks Arpad Miklos's boots, and gets fucked in a sling. Finally, there's a rough and orally voracious pairing of Troy Punk and Kirk Ziegler.

I> Skuff 3's climactic moments don't occur, however, until it's technically over. The second disc in the "hardcore" edition-- the version to demand-- contains a 30-minute gem that ranks with the most potent sex scenes Steven Scarborough has ever devised. Barron and Kingsley reappear as jailers who drag slim young Owen Hawk screaming from his prison cell, ram their dicks down his throat, and fuck him. Then they wheel out piss-pig Marcos Pirelli in a garbage can, and the action escalates. All four participants in this uninhibited kink fandango seem to be stoned on lust; the orally ravenous Hawk turns in his best work since his star-making performance in COLT's BuckleRoos.
