How to order
If Chi Chi LaRue's contribution to All Worlds Video's
Seven Deadly Sins cycle seems to fall short of its mark, it's because expectations stirred up by the publicized match of director to theme were sky-high. In
Greed, LaRue's talent for large-scale sexual rapacity never gets
fully unleashed. Although this well-made divertissement has its moments, a savvier script might have generated better moments, and more of them. The best reason to see this video is first-rate work by an especially fit and fine-tuned Tommy Lord, whose sexual intensity
comes unexpectedly out of a slightly daffy Ivy League fratboy persona.
When Lord, as a sex-hungry guppie, tricks with a mysterious, Levantine-looking gentleman in black (Aaron Parker), the stranger explains why he has two cell phones. The extra phone is "my sex phone people call me on it and I have sex." Lord is intrigued, particularly
after his guest leaves the sex phone behind and it rings. A voice (Robert Collins) commands Lord to go to a sex club where he watches Eli Horst, in a get-up out of
Road Warrior, go to work on David Pierre, who lies in a sling while his testicles are spanked, his foot is sucked, and his
ass is ploughed. Turned on but intimidated, Lord stays in the shadows and masturbates.
The next day, when the sex phone rings, Lord's visiting friend Rob Kirk insists on answering. The voice summons him to a warehouse space where various big-dicked men are showering; the resulting foursome is lively, but undercut by morgue-blue lighting. Next, once he
greedily regains control of the phone, Lord is told to report to an intimate birthday party for Lance Gear, where he's the gift. With the participation of Gear, Jack Ryan, and hairy Australian Peter Raeg, the ensuing sex scene surpasses everything that comes before it. Like its
predecessors in the series, Greed ends with a set-up for the forthcoming
Redemption, an anthologized wrap-up for all seven stories. Gorgeous African-American Robert Collins, seen here too briefly in a non-sexual role, will presumably have more to do in the concluding episode.
