Mad at Nader endorsement
I am upset with your magazine because you have endorsed Ralph Nader for President. Nader cannot win. Therefore a vote for Nader is a vote for the Republican Bush. I have made a contribution to the Gore campaign and I
cannot support a magazine that has endorsed Nader. Therefore I will not be renewing my subscription.

You'll feel the fool you are if George W. Bush is our next president. Imagine all the beautiful men who might be alive if Ronald Reagan hadn't been our president in the 80s.
It's embarrassing to have gay men be such fools.

Your argument in support of Ralph Nader is absurd. Just exactly what has Nader done concretely to advance gay and lesbian rights? Has he given a major speech in this campaign to discuss his support for gay and lesbian causes? Where does he stand on gay
marriage? Has he been to the Gay and Lesbian Center? This man has done and said absolutely nothing to excite my gay activist interest. He has certainly not earned my vote.
I am sick to death of people in the gay community who have been seduced into supporting Ralph Nader. He is using our community and he doesn't give a shit about us. Has he ever lifted a finger for us? Maybe Gore doesn't support every single one
of our issues, but he had the courage to say on national TV that he supports gay civil unions and he has a long track record of listening to us and advancing our agenda. I'll take the piecemeal approach any day over a right-winger Texan governor who couldn't care less
about our agenda and is a product of a virulently gay-hostile party.

Patrick Stone sizzles
I really enjoyed your interview with Patrick Stone [Patrick Stone, Man of Adventure, September 2000].
I've known Patrick Stone for years as both a friend and professionally as one of the models for my erotic art. He is so humble on the surface, but underneath he's a sizzling sexpot about to boil over at the drop of his pants. He is modest as well about
his theatrical performances. I had no idea he was in productions with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Reese Witherspoon, and Paul Rudd. His move to San Diego was a great loss to the Minneapolis sexual and theatrical community. I hope they appreciate him in San
Diego. Erotically yours,

Smitten
As I am an English reader, I hope you'll forgive my effusive outburst!
I really love your publication and its excellent information. I also really dig your terific website. However, I must doff my hat to you for the November issue coverboy [Portland Oregon's "Portuguese"]. He is simply adorable
and the best yet.
Please, can't you print more information about him? Does he have a web site? I often visit Portland and would
love to have a chance of seeing this young darling in the flesh! He has the smile of an angel. I'm totally smitten!

You're not the only one! Many readers have asked for more of Portuguese, and many photos of him can now be found on our web site under the web profile of Silverado, a popular dance club in Portland where Portuguese often performs; enjoy!
Liberace as showman
Just love the mag, congrats on the energy and great work. I have a comment on Mr. Bronski's review of the Liberace book [Piano Man, August 2000]: It is true that Lee was a second rate pianist, but that was by his own
choice. He was quite promising as a young person and even
did a gig with the Milwaukee Symphony. He made a conscious decision to be an entertainer rather than an artist, and the rest is grand divoonery! I heard this tidbit on WNYC-AM's (they stream they're great) Leonard Lopate show: the guest was an author of one of the Liberace bios.
