Some enterprising soul in Dawn's hometown has won enough government agency money to festoon the city's buses with posters trumpeting the existence of homo domestic violence. DV "is not just physical abuse," a nude, crouching muscleman tells us. "It can be
lies, manipulation, isolation, stealing...." What hooey! All those behaviors may be ass-holic, but they are not "violence." Such violations of the language remind Dawn of those
faux feminists who assert that porn is "violence" against women. Grant-hungry hyperbole should not blur
valuable distinctions between real violence and poor manners....
