How to order
No Robert Prion video would be complete without at least one internal plug for other Robert Prion videos.
You've Got the Touch is bracketed by two of them. It opens with Jason Nikas, wearing a winter jacket and
looking exuberantly liberated from Greater Los Angeles, entering an adult video store in downtown Plainfield, New Jersey. Asked to suggest a selection, the proprietor recommends something by Prion, "the only one who's
really doing pure unadulterated sex," and holds up the box cover of one of Prion's lesser efforts,
Unexpected Persuasion. Recognizing fellow browser Vincent DeMarco as the man on the box, Nikas takes both DeMarco and
the video home, where-- using psychic powers peculiar to gay men in Northern New Jersey-- they conjure up "Fantasy Stud" Chris Collins and make the beast with three backs. Later, Storm discovers Nikas napping next to
the box for Prion's Pushover-- starring Storm-- and proceeds to relieve him of his black Structure underpants.
Prion isn't "the only one doing pure unadulterated sex," and some directors who use story lines do sex better, but Prion's work is a relief from run-of-the-mill West Coast robotic erotica. L.A.-based
performers like Nikas who make guest appearances with Prion's New Jersey repertory company often seem more human and do their best work. Prion's performers are refreshingly free of attitude, and there's no silliness about rigid top
or bottom roles. The cast of You've Got the
Touch includes variety of ages and physical types; one of the best sex scenes is between fortyish Jay Richards and newly goateed, delectably bearish Jeff Nichaels.
