Whoever wins this year's Mr. Leather Ottawa-Hull competition the weekend of Friday November 12 has a tough row
to hoe. Current title-holder Dean Ross went on to prevail at Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather, North America's second largest leather
competition. Then, in May, he placed among the top ten in Chicago's International Mr. Leather competition. "In between contests," note
organizers, "Ross taught a weekly GLBT self-defense course and raised money for the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario by building, painting,
and selling superhero statues." You can be a mere subhero and still take part in a "full weekend of leather, friends, and fun," including a
leather fair, a meet-the-contestants opportunity, a post-contest "Survivors' Brunch," and plenty of after-hours play. For more info, browse
