Toronto-- Among cattle and pigs, the hide may crawl at its prospect. But among their two-legged masters
(sex-pigs included), this month's "Mr. Leatherman Toronto Weekend" can only set the flesh atingle. "One of
the biggest and sexiest leather celebrations in North America," according to organizers, the "weekend" runs
over five days, November 22 to 26, with more events scheduled than there are stitches in a Doc Marten. From
the very first pre-event festivities, to the "After Party," to a tea-dance postlude, everything pivots around the
coronation of Mr. Leatherman Toronto-- Saturday, November 25th, 8 pm at The Docks (11 Polson Street). In
addition to the selection of the main man himself and accompanying parties, there are seminars (Saturday,
November 25th, 2 to 5 pm at the Ramada Hotel, 300 Jarvis Street), an exploration of SM in Hollywood films
(Wednesday, November 22nd, 5ive Nightclub, 5 St. Joseph Street, 8 pm), and a "Vendors Alley" (Saturday, November
25th, 10 am to 6 pm at the Ramada). The event may be Canadian, but the timing is conveniently arranged for those
of Yankee persuasion, falling as it does during American Thanksgiving. All is not fun and games-- proceeds go
