How to order
Four students huddle in a corner of the library where they're researching their thesis on group sex. (Apparently it's a group thesis.) Spike, whose face is sabotaged
by nerdy glasses, and whose outfit might have been found at J.C. Penney's by his mother, initiates a round of on-the-spot field research. As Spike's preppy slacks
slide down to his knees, his nickname and the title of this video become intensely comprehensible.
Three homophobic jocks soon appear on the other side of a row of bookshelves and observe the foursome in action. They consider beating them up, but have
sex instead. Cross-cutting between the two groups, this sequence has its moments, though it lacks the energy and drive of LaRue's best work. You wait for the jocks and
the geeks to connect or at least acknowledge each other, but there's no evidence that the two groups were ever actually on the set at the same time.
Then the plot kicks in, courtesy of a script by porn star Doug Jeffries. Spike approaches Joey Hart, who heads a sex fraternity, and asks to pledge. "You must
be joking, four-eyes," says Hart, who adds that the sight of Spike fills him with "how should I put it?-- nausea." Hart is so affronted by the idea of somebody as
de la boue as Spike aspiring to join his select group that he has to have sex with Johnny Thrust to recover. Canceling plans to attend a hazing session, Hart plots Spike's
comeuppance.
The hazing goes on without Hart. Here LaRue whips the four participants into a sexual frenzy that tops everything else in the video. Blindfolded, lying on a
table top, Mitchell Stevens is furiously worked over by David Bradley, Nicholas Clay, and J.J. Bond. The subsequent scene in which Spike and two friends confront Hart
and induct him into their own sex club falls flat by comparison-- but only by comparison. Like all of Chi Chi LaRue's recent work, this deserves to be seen.
