When their car breaks down in the Texas desert, two guys wander into the sagebrush and stumble on an abandoned settlement where some of the buildings are made of plywood. In this literal ghost town, the former inhabitants materialize, do cowpokey things like cracking whips, playing poker, strutting aimlessly around, and rutting-- and then fade back into the vapor. Each of the two strangers pairs off with a ghost. One gets a dark, piquant Mexican; his buddy lands a cute young guy with erection problems. (Maybe you just can't obtain Viagra in the afterlife.)

This rudimentary story is dropped halfway through. The ghosts, a hairy lot who sometimes wear anachronistic body jewelry and tattoos, appear to have more fun alone or among themselves. Matt, the head ghost, jerks off into his own cowboy hat just for the heck of it. Others have a game of cards in the saloon, haul one of their number outside for a bogus whipping, and then have group sex. This foursome has its moments, but might have had more if it weren't for the shoddy camerawork and lousy continuity that plague this enterprise from opening credits to closing plug for Elbow Grease lube.
