"I wish I'd had a coach like this in high school," a Houston apparatus wrote in the margin of a clipping from that metropolis's Chronicle. The story is that in the gymnasium office
of Wheatley High School in Houston, the head football coach allegedly "grabbed" an 18-year-old male student's crotch at 2:45 of a Friday afternoon. (The student was wearing pants.)
The coach allegedly sat down and said, "Come over here and sit down."
But without even a "No, thanks," the student left. That's rude. What manners he has. What class. What breeding.
He told a teacher about it when he returned to school the following Tuesday. Apparently the incident so weakened him that he needed three days to recover from it. It is a mistake
to make a pass at men who are so weak they need society's support before they can act-- i.e., heterosexuals.
The 41-year-old coach was arrested and released on bond.
Since 18 is a legal age for sex it is not clear why so much is being made of this episode, especially by the étudiant. With what teacher is he so intimé that he can discuss what
happens to his crotch? He apparently is using the incident to make a public display of himself as 100% straight. If he were he wouldn't have to make a display of it.
A more wholesome and confident youth would have welcomed the invitation to sexual pleasure, especially from a man as prestigious as the head football coach. The youth he tried
to seduce is too common and conventional to be of any interest, but the coach's sex history would be interesting, especially if he has made passes at others who are more gifted sexually
than the distraught 18-year-old.
Moreover it is always interesting when a coach acts out the real reason men and boys in America are so interested in "sports."
