In an aristocratic setting
Munich--Queens we may all be, but curiously few gay events are named for royalty. Which lends a note of distinction to the fifth-annual King Ludwig Cup, July 24 to 27, the "first Gay
and Lesbian Tennis Association tournament in Germany," says organizer Manfred Martin. "We expect about 120 participants from all over Europe and the USA, and we would be pleased
to welcome you to this sport event," Manfred declares amiably. The tournament will be played in singles, doubles, and mixed. As for the courts themselves--and please do not think
princes, ladies-in-waiting, and eunuchs--they will be mere playing surfaces of red clay. The participation fee (73 euros for one "discipline"--this is Germany, after all--or 83 for two. For more
info, browse to www.racketclubmunich.de or ring up Manfred at +49-(0)-177-72-66-222.
