Montreal-- Perhaps Canadian English lacks the superlatives to convey fully the excitement, the good times, the good deeds embodied by the Black & Blue Festival, sponsored by Bad Boy Club Montreal.
The "1998 Edition" runs October 7 to 13, with the climactic party Sunday, October 11 at the Montreal Convention Center. "Terra Nostra: The Super Heroes of Our World" is the theme. Sure enough, promise organizers, during
the stage show, there will be the BBCM dancers, "dressed in original costumes created to reflect the various facets of the gay community-- essentially our own gay super heroes." Black & Blue "has been applauded by
several media organizations as a leading event in the world, in a class of its own on several levels," BBCM notes. "In short, Black & Blue can be described as a mega interactive experience with the highest production values,
raising hundreds of thousands for the community." Besides the big party, other events include the "Leather Ball" (Friday, October 9, at Club Medley) and the "Military Ball" (Saturday, October 10, at Club Metropolis). Phone
