Montreal-- Gay pride is a generally Juneish affair,
n'est ce pas? Chalk it up to a more relaxed pace of Quebecois life, but Montreal's gay pride happens in August. There's nothing
leisurely, however, about the accompanying "Twist Weekend," sponsored by Bad Boy Club Montreal, August 2nd to 5th. There's a trinity-- count 'em-- of main events: 1) "Twist Party" happens on
Saturday, August 4th from 10pm at the Medley (1170 St-Denis Street); 2) "Twist Encore" takes place at Club Stereo, Sunday, August 5th from 10pm; and 3) the Pier Dance occurs Saturday, August
