"Pinehurst Prison," an unseen narrator explains, "is a maximum-security correctional facility. It holds some of the deadliest criminals known to man.... Now it's time to show those delinquents who's boss; it's time for lockdown!"

This roiling penal fantasy offsets servings of dominance-and-submission with interludes of good, dirty egalitarian fun between inmates and their keepers. The rough-and-tumble action is embellished with nightsticks, dildos, leather paraphernalia, and, during one surreal vignette, a fuck machine that rhythmically plunges a large rubber cock through Rik Jammer's receptive back door.

n the first scene, guard Cal "Speedy" Reynolds tops prisoner Jake Dakota; in the second, guard Parker Williams gets topped by prisoner Shane Rollins. In the third, cops Derek Foster and Tommy Blade drag convicts Owen Hawk and Matt Cole into a stairwell for fun and games. The finale begins when Jammer, identified as "the world's nastiest sex-offender," is trundled out of solitary hooded, gagged, and straitjacketed for the delectation of Reynolds, fellow guard Cliff Rhodes, and inmate Derrick Hanson.

Standout performers include Cal Reynolds, beefy newcomer Jake Dakota, the ever-reliable Shane Rollins, and Hanson, a gluttonous oral bottom. Viewers who enjoy guard-prisoner fantasy role-play should respond with enthusiasm; viewers exposed to the unerotic realities of prison life may recoil. But Lockdown is undeniably well-made, occasional lapses aside. Among its miscalculations is a busy dubbed overlay of faked piggy sex sounds. But the DVD considerately features a "discreet viewing version" that tones down the grunts.
