San Francisco, May 29, 1991-- Lately, I've sucked, etc. in Mexico, Canada, Thailand, and am about to depart for sleaze in Singapore and Malaysia. Last year I did about a third (of the countries) of South America.

The scene, as I find it abroad, compares favorably with the long gone Golden Age of Homosexuality in America. That is, sex is still fun, secretive, "dirty." This is especially true in Latin America.

In Asia, they treat sex like taking a drink of water- just something everyone does without any big to-do. They are especially advanced in S.E. Asia, where whores are widely available and where most men seem to walk around with a hard on and their zippers loose.

Incidentally, my world-wide studies of dick size have completely exploded the myth of small Asian cock. Totally untrue. Of course there are variations, but I have seen and sampled some of the world's biggest in Thailand. For doubters, I recommend the Big Cock Show on Thursdays through Sundays at the Twilight Bar in Bangkok (where Tennessee Williams was a frequent customer).

December 16,1992-- I found your new volume, Lewd, and was thrilled. I continue to circle the globe for dick. I have to. In America, the "Gays" are so busy being politically correct and trying to assimilate into hetero culture that they are enemies of true sexual perverts and deviants such as myself.

Since I last wrote you I have been in Morocco (plenty of hot-dicked Arabs ready to put out, illustrating clearly that the death penalty prescribed in the Koran for such fun is no deterrent to sexual heat; the problem in Morocco is too many boys, so there is no shortage of cock); Brazil- everyone has his pants unzipped; Thailand, lots of fat dicks and foreskin, attached to the most glorious people on earth; and Mexico, dripping with Latin ardor, illustrating that Catholicism is no barrier when the dick gets hard.

I want to thank you for your scholarly and essential work and I hope you can put out a book more frequently. I agree with you that it is imperative that we get the stories of World War II into print.

Born in 1925 in South Dakota, Boyd McDonald entered Harvard as a high-school dropout after serving in the army in World War II. Jobs with Time, IBM, and several Wall Street firms preceded Boyd's career as a chronicler of gay sex. He was the founder and editor of Straight to Hell (alternatively the Manhattan Review of Cocksucking), and later published a number of anthologies of true sex histories. Boyd died in September 1993, two months after completing his final book, Scum.
