Peter Wilder stands with one hand thrust into his Ralph Lauren briefs and the other grasping a paperback novel. "The cowboys headed back to the bunkhouse covered with dirt and sweat," he reads. "They took off their shirts. Some even took off their pants...." Entering Wilder's imagination, we see Sam Crockett, Alex Stone, Tony Zerega and Marcus Ryan grappling with one another in the old corral. This foursome performs with startling intensity for a full half hour in one of the hottest group sex scenes Chi Chi LaRue has ever directed (and that's saying a lot). Marcus Ryan, a blond, feisty, ravenously oral bottom, is spectacular here, and Crockett, Stone and Zerega have never been better.

Many viewers won't get past this opening segment-- they'll be too happily depleted to go on, or want to hit rewind and start over. Those who keep going will encounter four more episodes pinned to a vapid story. Wilder and Jake Armstrong, who at least pretends to be straight, are brothers. Armstrong's visiting friend David Rinaldo is also purportedly straight. Wilder proves that Rinaldo is at least open to experimentation.

The sex in this section is relatively mundane, despite a fleeting incest fantasy and some interesting work with a dildo, and all of it is anticlimactic. If only the stunning prologue could be lopped off and converted into a short, it could be marketed to the Religious Right as proof of homosexual depravity. Then it could be screened at, say, the Christian Coalition's annual Road to Victory conference, where it would make every man present want to be gay.
