How to order
Chip Daniels seemed to want to scuttle his career as a porn performer when he turned to directing. For a five-year stretch, he appeared only in non-sexual cameos like his brief, funny turn as a descendent of H.G. Wells in the
1998 Time Cops. During intros to segments in his recent
Studbook compilation, however, he provided a glimpse of what we've been missing. Now, in
Tight Ends and Wide Receivers, he has made a full-fledged comeback in a
tailor-made leading role.
He plays closeted Coach Daniels, who is grooming his collegiate football team, the Tigers, for a confrontation with its archrival, the Spartans. This situation activates a plot that bears similarities to that of Paul
Barresi's recent, football-themed Playing
Dirty. Key characters include a towel boy (Sean Storm), a vengeful former student (Bryan Score), a scheming reporter (Andrew Addams), and a disgruntled team member (Jerek). This
installment ends on a cliffhanger involving double sexual blackmail; to find out what happens, we have to wait for
Tight Ends and Wide Receivers 2.
The story is unobtrusively integrated into five sex scenes ranging from okay to splendid. Small, wiry Sean Storm, who isn't afraid to play nerdiness, is an uninhibited, unexpectedly exhibitionistic performer who at one
point makes aggressive use of two dildos, one of which resembles a fire hydrant. Chip Daniels's own sexual performance surpasses those of most of the models around him. His acting, which gives his sex scene with Storm an extra
jolt of energy, seems amiably self-assured, as if the joy of showing off relaxes him and at the same time turns him on.
