Those Whacky Folks at the Times

Dawn was amused reading an editorial in the Gay and Lesbian Times of San Diego urging Clinton to resign. His sin? Lying. Not about banning anti-gay military discrimination or a Manhattan Project for AIDS or supporting gay rights those they overlooked; the Times was incensed about Slick Willie's lying about his blow and rim sessions with Monica. Odd standards for a homo rag.

And then, in an editorial calling for thought- and speech-control legislation (a.k.a "hate crime laws"), the Times asked (rhetorically of "spiritual leaders"): what would Jesus do? Well, Dawn can't be sure, of course, but it seems reasonably sure one thing Mr. Turn-the-Other-Cheek wouldn't do is demand that the state be armed with new ways to vengefully punish those with unpopular views....
