Dawn was amused reading an editorial in the
Gay and Lesbian Times of San Diego urging Clinton to
resign. His sin? Lying. Not about banning anti-gay military discrimination or a Manhattan Project for AIDS or
supporting gay rights those they overlooked; the
Times was incensed about Slick Willie's lying about his blow and
rim sessions with Monica. Odd standards for a homo rag.
And then, in an editorial calling for thought- and speech-control legislation (a.k.a "hate crime laws"),
the Times asked (rhetorically of "spiritual leaders"): what would Jesus do? Well, Dawn can't be sure, of course,
but it seems reasonably sure one thing Mr. Turn-the-Other-Cheek wouldn't do is demand that the state be
armed with new ways to vengefully punish those with unpopular views....
