Foreskins: A Cash Crop?
By Dawn Ivory

View our poll archive
Malaysia's minister of "Culture, Arts, and Tourism" Sabbaruddin Chik thinks there's money to be made by selling tickets to group circumcision ceremonies, evidently popular in this largely Muslim country.

Chik's remarks came shortly after 48 boys had their penises "ceremonially" mutilated in Kuala Lumpur. "Tourists would enjoy watching something that was different from the norm," Chik noted after 48 foreskins (representing a potential of five square feet of nerve-rich, moist, tasty sex skin) were sacrificed to Allah.

What irony. You can openly peddle genital mutilation as a tourist draw, but any suggestion that those same foreskins could be retained and rented out for tourists' pleasure would bring the ire of Gloria Steinam and her UN security forces....
