Dawn was not startled at all to read how four suburban Cleveland teenagers were charged with "pandering sexually oriented material involving minors" by making
a pornographic movie of themselves. The three boys and one girl, from Mayfield Heights, a Cleveland suburb, were involved in the 1997 production of a
homemade videotape starring the girl, who was 15 at the time. One of the boys, who was 17, "starred" with the girl, while another boy, then 14, operated the camera and a third
boy, 15, helped distribute the tape.
Dawn understands that under today's lunatic laws, teenage sexual hijinks must be treated akin to serial murder; these kids might need to be locked up for the rest
of their lives in order to prevent child abuse. What did amuse, though, was a remark by Juvenile Judge William Chinnock who scolded the children during last
week's hearing for using their bodies not as "sacred vessels" but as "garbage cans."
