How to order
Seedy but effective, the made-in-Miami South Beach
Cruisers feels more alert and less bearish than director Mark Ludwig's usual output. (There's nothing wrong with bear-themed porn, but Ludwig sometimes hires
models who are hibernating.) The best sexual performance here is by trim, impressively endowed Michael Brandon, who gets wear a police uniform, smoke a cigar while getting blown, and improvise a stream of filthy talk
while having his way with leather-clad hustler Steve Pierce. Brandon's segment follows an hour-long, well-directed sequence where Brian Hanson's encounter with casual pickup Mark Cummings expands to include
roommate Mark West, then lifeguard Dakota Phillips, West's date. In some Ludwig productions, the hand-held camerawork simply looks sloppy; here, it lends the visuals an edge. The small but well-chosen cast appears to be having
a really good time.
