City Councilmember Lore Cook in West Wendover, Nevada, is asking voters whether they want to change a city ordinance to allow prostitution. Cook said legalizing brothels would address certain health issues by
requiring prostitutes to get regular check-ups and would also raise revenue for the city through the permits required. But she is the only person on the five-member council backing brothels.
