How to order
Birlynn Productions has changed the locations of its Asian she-male videos from fourth-class hotels to upscale private homes. A few intrepid souls are now taking
credit for casting, audio engineering and videography. The performers may be getting more attractive. In the first episode of this installment alone, there's cocksucking,
nylon-ripping, tit-chewing, beer-spitting, ass-fucking, tongue-waggling, wax-dripping, and nail-polishing. But it's still the same old wokload of incompetence, warmed
over for the fifteenth time and reeking like hell.
All the standard Birlynn technical conventions are operative here: the camera bumbles in and out of focus, the sound comes and goes, the music could make
rodents eat their young. The performers try hard, but seldom seem really turned on. Dubbed orgasmic cries are awkwardly added to the sound mix: "Waugh! Waugh!" for
males, "Auwh! Auwh!" for she-males. The latter resembles the sound a Teletubby might make if you stuck a fork in it.
Worst of all, perhaps, the World of
Confusion series promises a challenge to gender that goes largely unfulfilled. Birlynn's ardent, sub-literate ad copy about
"lady-boys" notwithstanding, the world of confusion present in this series lies almost entirely in the editing room and behind the camera. The "women"
(pre-operative transsexuals, mostly) and the men who fuck them are for the most part acting out stereotypical gender roles in a way that demeans as it puts you to sleep.
