Viva Latino!
By Giacomo Tramontagna

Viva Latino!
Rating: 3 Stars
Catalina Video. Produced by Josh Eliot. Directed by William Hunter. Videography by Brad Austin and Nolan Powers. Music by Randy Packer. Starring Gabriel Suarez, Max Grande, Vinnie Rocko, Austin Black, Mike Cesar, Carlos Leo, Anthony Gallo, Luis Garcia, Rusty Scott, and Santiago.
How to order

Max Grande (who recently added that final e to his name as if to acknowledge his ethnicity) reports to Gabriel Suarez's house to do some yard work, but does Suarez instead. Goateed look-alikes Austin Black and Vinnie Rocko take a sex break from picture-hanging chores in the hallway of an upscale residence. Mike Cesar and Carlos Leo strip off their sweaty T-shirts after moving furniture, get aroused by each other's bodies, and move on to a ferocious exchange of blowjobs. Anthony Gallo and Luis Garcia have a quick boink before beginning some sort of work on interior walls. After householder Rusty Scott discovers Santiago outside his door watering the lawn, Santiago demonstrates his prowess with a hose indoors.

The best sex in this middling-to-hot collection of porn loops is oral. There's impassioned fellatio and fervent rimming. And there are scattered erotic flashpoints, like the shot of Santiago spouting spooge all over Scott's penis. Each of the five pairs of partners seems felicitously matched. Admirers of uncut cock will find a lot to admire here.

One troubling aspect of this and most of the recent Latino-themed adult videos, however, is their utter lack of interest, erotic or otherwise, in Latino cultural identity or in the realities of Latino life in America. Many of these videos, marketed mainly to affluent Anglos, perpetuate the favorite stereotypes of that audience. With the exception of Gabriel Suarez in the opening segment and white boy Rusty Scott in the closing master-servant scenario, everyone in Viva Latino! appears to be a laborer hired to do menial work in the houses and yards of the upper middle class. What's wrong with this picture?
