Doug Jeffries gets operatically impassioned during sex on the set
By
Ed Karvoski, Jr.
"I never was one who watched porno," says erotic video star Doug Jeffries. "I sometimes wonder how I got into this."
But he got into the biz in a big way, for sure. In just three years, Jeffries has appeared in over 80 skinflicks, including
A Body to Die For, Daytime Voyeur,
Glory Holes of L.A., Happily Ever
After, Hot Sheets, Hung Jury,
Leather Intrusion 3, Leather Obsession
6, LeatherWorld, and Striptease.
A music teacher living in Las Vegas at the time, Jeffries was introduced to the industry by some porn stars he met while visiting Los Angeles. "They suggested
I send photos to their agent. I did, then I got a call the next week. It all happened so quickly."
Before he knew it, Jeffries was on a plane and on his way to making his debut in All Worlds'
Marines Don't Kiss. "I was nervous getting on that airplane to
San Diego and I was having second thoughts. I was freaking out a little," he admits. "But once I got there, I loved it. Shooting the sex scene was so easy for me. I didn't
have any problems at all."
Jeffries still doesn't watch porno videos, except for his non-sexual scenes. "I love doing dialogue, particularly if it's really good dialogue, and creating a
character," says the actor, who has appeared in a number of dialogue-driven videos. "One of my favorite scenes was in
Gold Diggers, directed by Chi Chi La Rue. It was a
big dialogue day, one of those days when you don't really care what you look like. I played a chauffeur and I got to drive around this big stretch limo. That was a lot of
fun." And how was the sex? "Well, actually," he says hesitantly, "the sex that day wasn't as much fun."
For a sex scene that was both fun and sizzling hot, Jeffries cites Close-up Productions'
Target for Torment. "It was a little bondage video I did. I remember
being really attracted to this kid, Ethan-Michael Ayers. He was the cutest, sexiest thing I'd ever seen. I was
like gaga over him. In the scene, I had him tied up and he was
bent over a ladder while I fucked him. It was really hot."
According to Jeffries, particular co-stars bring out his wild side. "If I'm paired with a guy who's younger and smaller, then I get into this crazy, weird frame of
mind with my character and I just go ballistic. A lot of directors tell me that I have to tone it down a bit because I can really go over the top."
While portraying the title role in Catalina Video's
Boss Man, directed by Chi Chi LaRue, Jeffries was able to be as aggressive as he wanted to be. As both
the screenwriter and star of Boss Man, Jeffries plays a tailor-made character with a penchant for power. "I wrote this real aggressive scene for myself. I'm the boss man,
and I come in and I hit and slap this guy. I just go off. I made my character really aggressive through the dialogue, then I can be really aggressive with the sex."
With a playful sneer, he growls, "I really love playing mean and aggressive."
So is Jeffries equally "mean and aggressive" when fooling around off-camera? "That's the weird thing," he purrs like a pussycat. "I'm really into that
aggressive behavior in videos, but not at all in real life. Absolutely not."
When not terrorizing willing porn pups in videos, Jeffries is continuing his musical studies on the East Coast. He's busy working toward a degree, but not too
busy to read fan mail. He invites fans to drop him a line at: Doug Jeffries, 8581 Santa Monica Blvd., #165, West Hollywood, California 90069
