What you need to know about the 16th Annual Texas Gay Rodeo depends on whether you are a spectator, contestant, or horse. Spectators coming to
the Travis County Exposition Center for the rodeo, Saturday and Sunday November 13-14, should know that tickets run $10 to $15. On Thursday, November 11, before
any broncos buck, the Texas Gay Rodeo Association throws its annual "Royalty Competition" at Rainbow Cattle Company (305 West 5th Street), at which "Mr., Miss,
and Ms. TGRA" will undergo coronation. Friday, November 12th brings the "Y'all Come Party" to the Holiday Inn Austin-South. Contestants for royalty or rodeo had
to register ages ago, but if you're of the horse persuasion, note that the fee per stall is $40, shavings are available on-site, and to compete you must test
negative-Coggins. "We take our stewardship of your valued animals seriously," you will be relieved to hear organizers say. "Their comfort and safety are paramount." For more info,
call the Rodeo Hotline at 210-946-7787, or hoof it over to www.tgra.com.
