How to order
Perched on the sea wall at Florida's South Beach, Wade Done and Rory Mason gape at passing men. "Check out all those hot studs on the beach!" says Mason. "Let's dress up as cops and arrest someone." Done thinks this is
a fine idea. The boys don't actually bother to change into uniforms; jeans and black T-shirts give them the right fascist aura. As they go about putting the squeeze on attractive prey, they just identify themselves as
undercover cops and pull lots of attitude. Their mostly willing targets tend not to be fooled for very long.
Rory Mason, whose deadpan dirtbag cop act can be very funny, "busts" a lifeguard parked in a no-parking zone, a guy who runs a red light, and a hardhat who's trespassing on private property. In the best
scene, Wade Done, who has a compact body and a salt-and-pepper goatee, is lucky enough to pick luscious Drew Larson as his only victim. The finale, where real cops catch up with Mason and Done in a bar, arrest them
for impersonating officers, and work them over sexually, falls short of its promise. But
Taken In does reward viewers with some of the best sexual vignettes Florida-based Mark Ludwig, whose specialty is bears in uniform,
has ever directed.
