When Jason Hawke, an undocumented tourist attempting to bluff his way into Brazil, impugns the masculinity of sultry customs official Claudio Martin, the result is a kind of reciprocal strip-search leading to Hawke's impalement on Martin's dick. While scrubbing the cement floor
of a military latrine, Private Sebastian Tauza is accosted by a pair of officers dressed only in fatigue caps, tight white briefs, and shiny, lickable combat boots. During a lunch break at construction site, depressed hardhat Troy Punk tells the decidedly non-punkish Collin O'Neal that
he misses his ex-boyfriend. "You need to be a man about this," says O'Neal, preparing to fill the boyfriend gap-- and Punk's ass. Finally, in boxer Patrick Downs's dressing room, trainer Alex LeMonde lectures Downs after he's lost a match. "When you're a prizefighter," says
LeMonde, "you need to suck it up! You need to be a man!" In the moments that follow, as in the preceding 76 minutes, there's lots of sucking up.
Be a Man is the sort of no-frills porn video director Chi Chi LaRue can toss off in his sleep; the old LaRue magic is apparent anyway. The challenge-to-manhood theme is a bit forced, and the dialogue links between loops don't quite work, but the models energetically
apply themselves to sex.
