How to order
The personal quote below Colby Taylor's high school yearbook picture reads, "You'll never survive if you
don't get a little crazy." That's the spirit in which he's invited his allegedly straight love object of yore, Travis Wade,
to visit his rural digs, where he intends to tell the long-absent Wade that he's gay.
When Taylor comes out to him, Wade stalks out into the underbrush alone, trying to process the
news. While brooding in the woods, Wade happens on another old buddy, Tuck Johnson, enjoying a three-way in
the back of a pickup truck with Scott Davis and Cameron Fox. As he watches, he beams with delight. The
experience primes him for the inevitable.
Abetted by Max Phillips's superb videography, John Rutherford's direction makes gay sex look like
an activity no sane man could fail to pursue. Although Rutherford can be particularly good at handling group
sex, the strongest portion of The Crush is the closing one-on-one encounter between Wade and Taylor. Travis
Wade, cast recently in Falcon's No Way Out as a thuggy dominant top, infuses his role here with surprising
sensitivity. He and Colby Taylor have crossover acting skills. The erotic potency of their sex scene is enhanced by the
way it develops their characters and completes the narrative. For Wade, it's an initiation; for Taylor, it's a dream
come true.
