How to order
Ten male castaways, sodden but fit after making it through some unspecified sea disaster, wash ashore on a tropical isle where there's nothing to do but ramble over picturesque terrain
and take time out for sex whenever possible. The situation evokes the television series "Lost," but fortunately there's no plot, just lots of ardent sucking and fucking, usually in pairs. The
ten sex scenes are skillfully directed by Chris Ward and videographer Ben Leon, though some long stretches cry out for editorial tightening. At nearly three hours of minimally varied action,
Lords of the Jungle sometimes turns to wallpaper right before your eyes.
B
ut this production earns points for its savory mix of robust, passionate white, black, and Latino models.
Lords of the Jungle was shot in and around Kalani Oceanside Retreat, a gay
enclave about 45 minutes from Hilo on the big island of Hawaii. Ben Leon's on-location camerawork doesn't match the sensuous luster of Bruce Cam's Hawaiian videography for Titan Media (in
Island Guardian, for example), but the visuals are clearly the result of a fastidious pro's response to difficult shooting conditions. Leon's work is particularly strong in the finale, a
beautifully strategized three-way for Jake Deckard, Jason Crew, and Matt Cole; the scene culminates in savage reciprocal fucking that seems to plunge all three into erotic trance states. Extras on
this two-disc set include cast interviews and a 22-minute behind-the-scenes documentary.
